Maistrato is a small beach at the edge of the city of Argostoli. It’s situated right under a pine tree forest and next to its small marina namesake, which hosts fishing boats and small speedboats. At a short distance is the pier where visiting cruise boats moor.
Due to the fact that the beach is close to town and its shallow waters, it’s visited by many bathers every day during the summer, mainly older people and families with young children, but also by cruise ship passengers. Even though it isn’t an organized beach, there is a double shower where the marina starts for the bathers’ convenience.
