A picturesque isolated bay in the penisola of Paliki
Porto Atheras beach is situated in the northwestern part of the island and, more specifically, north of Lixouri, by its namesake village. In order to visit the aforementioned beach, one has to go down the Atheras’ gorge, on a route with lush vegetation. It can be characterized as a rather quiet beach, ideal for children and it also has a rather morphologically unique bay.
It also has an amazing view, while its crystal clear waters along with the gentle ripple form a lovely landscape. Here you will find the small marina of Porto Atheras, the chapel of Saint Spiridon and, for epicures, there are traditional fish taverns.
